A Snow Day!

We put:
1 Pizza
2 Girls
3 Candles
4 Blankets
in a snow cave at dusk and had,

One Happy Dad (okay, Family)!

We are on "Snow Day" #2 here at our house. What fun! I do love to have Ellie home from school. Jed was able to "Work from Home" yesterday and managed to fit quite a big snow project in. He is such a big kid, realistically he spent almost the entire day outside. The girls even enjoyed their dinner in the snow cave with their Dad. Ellie told me they had made the decision to eat "Al Fresco" thanks Fancy Nancy. They were out there over an hour, after dinner, before I could get them to come in. They propped the pizza box in front of the door with the shovel and it really was quite toasty inside, despite the 0 degrees temperature reported on the news. I stayed in the house (when I wasn't being beckoned to the cave) and enjoyed the furnace with Sam.

That is so fun! Jed really hasn't changed! When we were little he would always build snow forts with the snow blower. He would blow the snow on the tramp and then shovel it off for the walls. He also made the biggest hill to sled down. It was as tall as our roof! Such fun memories! Miss you guys!!!

Seriously awesome. My boys would want Jed to live on our street to help them build some of their creations.

Making me laugh out loud because I can totally see Todd doing the same thing. In fact, if he were there he'd have been helping Jed to make a bigger eating area for those two little boys and their girls. We'd be eating chocolate cake on the couch. Awesome.
